About This Project

From a creative perspective, this commercial uses a ‘fly on the wall’ approach, mixed with mild humour, to deal with the touchy subject of debt. It looks like the footage was obtained from security camera feeds.

From a technical perspective, we knew from the start that this spot could not be filmed on low quality security cameras to get the highly-compressed, security camera ‘look’. We knew that all footage had to be filmed with professional high-definition equipment so that it would meet every required broadcast spec demanded by the television networks.

To make this happen we digitally masked the HD footage in post-production to make it look like it was shot from security cameras without any quality degradation.

Having this knowledge in advance was a huge plus as it allowed us to provide our client with all production logistics and subsequent costs – long before we began filming anything.
